Job Description

We are looking for a WordPress/PHP Developer with the skills and passion to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing WordPress themes and plugins, with a strong focus on creating and maintaining high-performance websites, particularly in the e-commerce sector.

Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience working with WordPress.
• Proficiency in PHP and experience in creating and editing WordPress themes in PHP.
• Experience designing WordPress sites from scratch, with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Elementor for creating and customizing WordPress pages.
• Solid understanding of web development best practices and performance optimization.

Main Responsibilities

• Build and customize pages and templates using Elementor.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Customize and extend existing themes and plugins to meet specific client requirements.
• Create responsive and visually appealing websites, translating design mockups into functional WordPress sites.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to implement WordPress solutions aligned with client specifications.
• Optimize WordPress sites for performance and scalability, ensuring high scores on Google PageSpeed Insights and other performance testing tools.
• Perform updates and maintenance for WordPress installations, including themes, plugins, and PHP updates.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve site visibility, search engine ranking, and user experience.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across devices.
• Use Git for version control and work in a collaborative environment.

Desired Skills

• Experience with CSS, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma to translate designs into websites.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, or Shopify.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks and RESTful API development.
• Experience in optimizing WooCommerce for performance in a multisite setup.
• Strong understanding of MySQL database design and management.
