We’re talking about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, an action-adventure video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The game, as its title suggests, is based on Marvel’s Spider-Man character and presents a narrative inspired by long-standing comic book mythology while incorporating elements from various adaptations across other media.
Its release brought not only a thrilling new video game packed with action and adventure but also a unique interactive experience: a scavenger hunt that invited fans to explore the city and solve challenges to unlock exclusive content.

An Exciting Challenge
The idea behind the scavenger hunt was to create an experience that went beyond a simple promotional event. It aimed to offer an immersive adventure that resonated with the game’s story and characters while challenging participants to test their detective skills and teamwork.
Design and Development
To bring this vision to life, we built a custom application from the ground up. It was designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, guiding users through every step of the scavenger hunt. Additionally, unique QR codes were created for each destination, allowing participants to scan and receive information about the next clue.
Animations and User Experience (UX)
Detailed animations played a crucial role in enhancing the user experience. These animations visually guided participants from their current location to the next destination, providing a clear and engaging representation of the journey. The app featured a vertical design for the home and onboarding screens, while a horizontal format was chosen for the map, making it easier to navigate the city.

The scavenger hunt web app was a massive success, drawing thousands of fans into an exciting city-wide adventure. The combination of exploration, challenges, and exclusive content created a memorable experience that uniquely connected players worldwide with the Spider-Man universe.
